Math 172 - Calculus with Analytic Geometry II - 5 Credit Hours - 5 Lecture Hours

Course Description
This is the second course in the three-semester sequence of courses covering calculus for scientists and engineers. Topics covered include applications of integrals, transcendental functions, integration techniques, L'Hopital's rule, improper integrals, infinite sequences and series, and polar coordinates.

Prerequisite
Math 171, Calculus with Analytic Geometry I, with a C or better

The course covers chapter 5, section 6.2, sections 7.4-7.7, chapters 8-9, and sections 10.2-10.5.

Additional Comments
A TI-83/84 Graphing Calculator is required for this course.

At least one section of Math 172 is offered at PSC each semester. An evening section is offered at least once per year.
